Brian Ryan RIP
Of all the Ryans Brian was the most outstanding fisherman. He was my fishing mentor
and taught me a huge amount of techniques and littlle tips that have served me well
as an angler. It is my one great regret that I never got to bring him out fishing with me
after I started my business. He would have been chuffed.
The long goodbye is over.May he rest in peace.

Billy Bass
Richie Ryan's good friend Tim Murrell brought out his brother-in -law Billy Mc Gibbon from Britain for a bass session recently.Billy had
never caught a bass and Tim promised him he would have success with the Eire Bass Guide. The photo shows Billy
with one of 9 bass caught on a very hectic session with Richie. 12 bass were hooked up in total with 9 landed.
When Billy returned from his bass session, his wife asked him what the fishing was like.Billy replied that he had
just had the best day of his life - Oops ! Needless to say she was not impressed

Double Dutch
Father and son Pete and Harry Sliep have been to Ireland many times fishing but neither had ever caught a bass.
They tasked Richie Ryan of Eire Bass to break that duck. Not one to shy from a challenge, Richie left the quayside in Cobh and within minutes both father and son had their first bass on board. In 30 years coming to Ireland fishing father Pete could not believe his luck. Four bass were caught and three lost in a quick session before their flight back to Holland that afternoon. They have promised to return and book Richie again next year and to spread the word about Cork Harbour Bass.

Becs First Bass
John Roulston has fished for a number of years with Richie Ryan of Eire Bass and has had a lot of success on board "Sea Hawk" with Richie. John's daughter Rebecca needed to catch her 1st bass so he turned to the Eire Bass guide to get that bass. Richie has a bit of a reputation for organising that elusive 1st catch and within a short while Becs had her first ever bass on board. The fish was a fine 6 lb. and the smile on the photo says it all. She also boasted that it was bigger than her brother's first bass, also on board.
